I have a 2015 XF Portfolio and it was using the original 2014 version of maps data, so I went to the Jaguar site and then to Touch Plus and USA and then found the correct update. The last one for the 2015 XF was the 2020 version. I purchased the software online and it was delivered 1 week later. The media that shipped was a USB memory stick.
The shipping memo included the software activation, the code that is needed when the update starts in the car. Inside the USB container there was a manual with instructions. see pictures.

I am very happy with the update, because now all the new streets that are in my area are now all included, and more accurate. I.E. there were intersections that were changed into roundabouts in 2014 and 2015 that previously displayed as normal intersections. After the update, they all appear as circles and the navigation instructions are more accurate.

 

Good to hear the update was a success although disappointing that 2020 is the latest available for the US.

Nothing available after 2018 for the Navteq system in my 2014 XK and I've so far resisted the offer from JLR to update my 2017 F-Pace to the latest available 2023 mapping simply because of the cost as the road system doesn't change that fast in here England.
