Incomming call ring too loud
A couple of times I've had incomming calls when the ringer is so loud it's painful and my head hurts for like an hour afterward. Intermittent and rare. I'm sure the dealer will blame it on my Samsung Droid Charge smartphone. Anyone else experienced this? Anyone got the same phone and no issues?
Thx.

I believe you can use the steering wheel scroll button to increase and decrease volume when the call is in process to adjust volume. Probably can also do it from the screen menu also.
Phone volume may be triggered by a different setting from the stereo volume even though the stereo controls are used. Scroll through your settings on the touch screen and see if the phone volume is separate.
Incoming call ring volume, navigation voice volume and one other thing (I forget what it is) can be adjusted through the interface in my '09 XF premium. I think it's either in communication or vehicle settings
Thanks for the replies. I'm fully aware of these various sound settings. It rings comfortably most of the time, and occasionally blares like a wartime invasion. All that happens (if anything) between events, is that I might turn up the volume to better hear a call in progress, or perhaps tweak the volume when I'm in a call away from the car via my BT headset.
I think the system remembers the selected volume at the end of the call and assumes you like that level. I suspect you raise the volume during one call and then do not reduce it during that call. Then the next call rings at that higher volume you forgot to reduce.
