to me it looks like my float is higher then yours.

try to push your float down?

try to unplug it its pretty easy to do so underneath and reconnect it a bit after.

now theres very little to fail in this system. I don't know why everyone throws parts in it right away.

There are magnets in that float and they correspond with the rod it goes up and down on.

Im speaking from how my car was reacting I'm good with cars, but fairly new with jaguars. Im more experienced on Fords, and Volvos.

Yea I tried pushing it down and it won't move so its already at the bottom I believe. I have not tried to unplug the sensor then replug it. Not sure if that will even help. What do you suggest?

You mean check the coolant with the coolant tester tool?

Yes test it , and have you tried pulling up the white float then if its at the bottom it should come up withe the side of the long screw driver.

Hey,

Buy one of these

ATD Tools 1105 Deluxe Antifreeze and Coolant Tester
Amazon Amazon

Here is a video what it is and how to use it.

You can get them pretty much anywhere.

The floats on these cars is super sensitive to the mixture.

Fix balance of water vs coolant and the float will float again.

Good luck

I just checked and saw that my coolant level is pretty low. I also checked for leaks and my floor is dry as can be. Also couldn’t see any leak inside my car either.

Where has the coolant gone?

Bleed the system? No I didn't. All I did was replace the old tank with a new oem tank. I filled the tank up to the midway mark between Max and Min. That was about 9 days ago and now I see that the fluid level is right below the word "Coolant Range". I think there is a leak somewhere. What do you think?

Hey,

It could have had air in it, try to fill it again and keep a close eye. Dont drive it low.

Hey Maninder Dhatt,

I don't understand the idea of having air in the system. How would air get in there unless I opened the cap? I did twist the cap to loosen it but I didn't take the cap off and that was about 4-5 days ago?
