Jaguar xf error code help.
Hi all,
I am a newbie to the site so hello.
I have a jaguar xf 3.0 s portfolio which has sprung the dreaded restricted performance on the dash.
Over the past several months i have noticed the low down grunt has deteriorated. The car does sit for a month at a time before getting used.
She has 60k on the clock and is a 2010 model.
I have purchased the jaguar SDD and read 3 codes from the car which are:
po235-94
p00bd-07
p006a-00
I have been doing some research on the net and there is a lot of debate about what it actually could be so i thought I would ask on here.
When i last parked her up in the RP state i turned the engine off and heard a sort of whistle noise that went lower and lower for a few seconds until it disappeared, Not sure if this is a pointer to something.
A lot of info on the net points to the actuator on a turbo which I believe is electronic and is prone to seizing, I also have been told that the engine would need to come out to get it off! Has anyone heard of it being taken off in situe as I can send the actuator off to be repaired if that is worth a first punt.
I am thinking of purchasing a smoke detector to test for any cracks or split pipes due to the lower two codes but i am unsure if they are present due to the first code listed above.
Any help would be much appreciated
Ian
