my 2011 3.0 30k has been fine, other day red full dpf on dash ( no amber warning ) been here before with other diesels so decided to have dpf insides removed and remap , all done driving well, So happens the mot was due so next day the test, Failed on emissions due to small easy trips, advised to give the car a good hour of hard driving to clear all out.
gave the car some hard runs using kick downs sport and paddles never reached red line at any point, all going well till last run when felt car change gears a bit lurchy. took for the mot retest and it passed this time, however the car now drives cr*p gears changing up and down all over the place and gets worse each drive, almost undriveable now !!! also a tapping sound from under the centre consul, not all the time have read that gearbox learns from how its driven and that the noise could be the handbrake cable hitting shaft or ???? cant understand why a hard drive would create these issues, sounds like a visit for a gearbox reflash?? any views experience here would be greatly welcomed thanks all
