Default Keyless entry question

Hi all. I've tried to search as much as possible but cannot see a straight forward answer to my issue. I'm hoping someone might be able to help.

I have a 2011 XF with keyless entry. I can lock and unlock the car using the keyfob with no issues at all. I can also unlock and lock the car using the passenger side front and rear door in a keyless capacity. However, I cannot lock and unlock the doors on the drivers side using the keyless function. Instead, when attempting to lock the car, it beeps twice at me.

I dont want to start changing parts for the sake of it and the only code reader (Autel) i have access to shows no faults at all.

Any help or assistance would be amazing.

Ben

Generally the double beep indicates that the car won't lock the doors because one or more door lock actuators are bad. The symptoms do point to the drivers side doors. But since it does lock doing it another way this may not be the issue.

The problem you have is the Autel scanner does not look deep enough into the Jaguar specific codes.
Are you aware of the SDD that the dealers use?
Your new and SDD is not for the faint of heart. Let's see what other suggestions you get first.

I think you need to verify if the doors are actually locking, as it's difficult to know with keyless. Lock the doors, put both sets of keys in a tin so they cannot be detected. Then go to car & check if all doors are locked, any that open will need a new actuator.

The doors definitely lock when using the keyfob as I've tried what you suggested.

I've not heard of the software you've mentioned. I'll take it to my local garage and see if they can read the codes. There are a few small niggles to iron out. The drivers heated seat has stopped working, adaptive dynamics fault and the aforementioned keyless issue.

Thankyou for the replies.

I have this same problem on my driver's door only, unless I hold the key in my hand as I press the keyless lock button, so it is virtually touching the door lock. I'm pretty sure it is a problem with the antenna that is incorporated in the door handle. The little wire harness flexes every time you open the door, can't do it forever.
