Jaguar XFR-S hits the 'Ring in stealth mode

Not sure it reveals very much. Are the wheel arches really flared? Are the wheels just black Nevis with spacers? I like them anyway... Not sure that the world needs a faster XFR - I am quite happy that an R-S version of the XKR exists for those that want something more hardcore.

 

I'm all for a faster sportier XFR-S. Only thing is that I hope they redesign the real spoiler before it hits production. That thing is absolutely hideous. (IMO or coarse)

 

What's different 'bout it?

 

It says in the article, and elsewhere. In summary:

550bhp (XKR-S spec engine map, I guess)
Exhaust is louder
Flared arches (allegedly)
Larger front intakes
Front splitter (good luck with that)
Larger rear spoiler
speed limiter removed
Wider wheels (not sure it needs more grip, quite honestly)

Aero treatment is likely as per the new 2013 XF speed pack. I would guess it will have the lovely XKR-S seats too.

 

I think it looks sharp but for really world driving, would you really enjoy it unless you go to the track alot. I could see one sitting in my driveway though... LOL...
