Looking at potentially buying an XF

Hey guys. I'm a current BMW owner and have been lurking here for a couple weeks. I have a car vice (as i'm sure most of you do)
so I switch cars every year or so. My buddy buys at auction so I get incredible deals which allows me to buy/sell a car basically every year.
I have owned all the luxury brands except a Jag. (BMW - 323, 535, X5, 745, 750, Audi A6 4.2, Merc E350, Porsche Cayenne, Infi M45 sport.... you get the point). My current car is an '07 750i. Before the new XF facelift I have never liked Jags... but I went and test drove one (base model) a few days ago and really liked it. It feels a bit small when compared to the 750 obviously, but I'm sure it will just get some getting used to.
My long-winded questions.... have you been overall happy with your XF? I would probably look at the XF / SC as they are coming off lease now and are popping up at auction. The XFR are more rare and tougher to find.
Are their major differences between the 09 and '11 XF models?
Overall, I'm leaning towards getting the Jag. It really is a sexy beast. The rear is incredible... side view is great... the only thing I don't like are the headlights which IMO look awful. If they put the XJ headlights on the XF, then we'd be in business
Anyway... thanks, in advance, for your comments and observations.

I test drove one last Friday. It was the diesel, and the performance was awsome, but in the USA you are restricted to the petrol. This was a 4.2, now a 5 litre V8. Only downside I could see was the view through the rear screen is very poor; backing up looks difficult, but if you want a trunk you have to put up with it. Seats were comfortable for me at least, and the steering was very positive and not heavy.
