Low voltage message.

I was getting a random low voltage message upon start up. Hooked up an Autel and found the battery management showed the car had NEVER had a replacement battery registered and was only allowing the battery to charge to 70%. We reset the parameters to let the battery management system fully charge the newish Deka that was installed prior to my purchasing the car. Been a week and no messages anymore. We also confirmed that the system was not expecting and AGM.

How did you reset the parameters?
We have been told that the BMS will reset on it's own after some time and you don't need to reset the BMS but it does seem that others have had to reset the BMS?

Autel seems to be the go to aftermarket tool. No the system will not reset it’s self. You need to tell it it has a new battery.

1 Attachment(s)
Attached is the BMS section from the shop manual. The system does NOT require to be reset with a battery replacement.
Note the first sentence:

Periodically the battery monitoring system module will instigate a self-calibration routine. To self calibrate, the battery
monitoring system first charges the battery to its full condition.

It will be done faster if you force it to reset using SDD.

I appreciate that the Jaguar is supposed to do something automatically. But it's a Jaguar. My source is my current boss who used to be a JLR Corporate tech who would travel around the nation and fix the things the dealerships couldn't fix. The path of least resistance, when installing a new battery, is to have a scan tool tell the car it has a new battery and to charge it as such. I've had this random low voltage message since I bout the car in July. It's now gone.
