Hope these pics load. Sounds great and I think it looks so much better. Most people don't recognize this upgrade until they here it.

Looks good. I would be tempted to paint part of the diffuser black.

Thank you. I actually started all white so I can go with black on the center part possibly in the future. The job gave my body shop fits.

I fitted one of these Mina rear diffusers by myself a few weeks ago, and what I thought would be a two hour job ended up taking me seven hours. Even then I had an unsightly gap on each corner and a smaller gap (around 2mm) the whole length, which I filled with black silicon windscreen sealant and then painted over by hand, using my little bottle of ChipEx repair paint. Didn't come out too bad but I'm not 100% happy with it, so I'm getting a professional mobile paint repair specialist to fix it up in three weeks' time, and at the same time he will paint the centre section in gloss black. |
Looks great, agree with the painting black "diffuser part".
I bought the Carbon Fiber diffuser from Mina. Very tough to do, even says in the instructions to use 2 people to help to fit it. When I got finished I had two small chips of paint pop off. There still is a small gap on each side, even when using the "self-tapping" screws. Just seemed like the whole diffuser was a bit small. Overall it was a good deal. Chris @ Mina is a real cool headed and honest guy. |
Interesting. Mine was almost a perfect fit and on in an hour. Hardest part was getting the old one off.
