Need Help on XF Purchase

I would really appreciate some real world experinces with the 09 XF in terms of reliability. This would be my first Jaguar purchase and continue to hear conflicting reports on overall realiablity. My previous exposue to Bristish cars was a 1979 MGB- fun to dirve,....but ...

13,000 km and four faults. I had the driveshaft balanced (one balancing nut was needed.), I had the sunroof adjusted by 1/4 inch, I have an intermittent check engine light which seems related to local fuel and which Jaguar is investigating and I had the fuel filler door recall performed even though my fuel filler door worked fine.This is a fantastic car and extremely good to drive. The supercharged cars are unbelievably quick.

Thank you for you response. It helps.... I have read about the fuel filler door /sunroof CEL issue being a problem on the early production release XF's. Whe was your XF mfg? 2008 or 2009?
