Default Question on the lower trunklid lights- replacing, or fixing with a burned out LED

The pass side lower trunk lid light has a couple burned out leds on my wife's 13. Seems Jag doesn't cover it under the CPO warranty and thanks to their wisdom of using LEDs they are quoting about $750 to fix it. Boy LEDs are great aren't they Started looking for the part number online and can't seem to come up with it but I did find a few ebay auctions that the 4 lights, the cross trunk trim and camera are all combined. Do you really have to replace it as an entire assembly or are the lights individual? Has anybody been successful taking it apart and resoldering the lights as a bottom and a top are out so I'm guessing it is just a wiring issue inside there? I'm just as happy finding a used one but really don't want to have to pay for the whole thing and I don't even know what you would call it to try to get a yard to send me the right one. None of the pull a parts nearby are listing a 12- xf in their inventory.
