Default Service light on the 15 XF won't go out

Granted I've never had to reset the damn thing on the 15 since Jaguar has the dumbest light ever (only works on mileage and have changed the fluid 3 times since it was last done at the dealer 3.5 years ago as I don't drive all that much) but the procedure that always worked on our old 13 doesn't seem to do anything except waste your time on the 15. Is there a different procedure? Have tried starting with the ignition on then shut it off before the fog lamp button and with the fog lamp button pushed with the system starting cold. Now 25 minues of trying to reset the damn light when the oil change took at best half that. Thanks. I would think my autoenginuity is too old for the xf right?

It works on time and mileage. Should indicate one year or whatever the oil change mileage is on your model. Mine comes on at the one year mark every year, and I do way less than the 10-12k my 2010 is scheduled for

You can also easily reset it with a code reader. If you're doing your own diy to the car it's worth getting one. The iCarSoft LRII works well and has a whole host of Jag and LR specific activities too (reset service indicator, put rear brakes into service mode etc)
