Default Spires stage 2 mufflers should I add an X pipe?

Hey guys I’ve had my spires stage 2 mufflers for awhile now and wanted to go with the stage 1 from spires to add on but I saw they stopped making exhausts. Does anyone recommend adding an X-pipe (Magnaflow type just like Big Will) and deleting the 2 resonators? Just wondering if anyone had the spires stage 2 exhaust setup and added a x pipe to see if they recommend it or not.

Much thanks!

putting a x pipes makes the sound nice and throaty by cancelling flow out ,you'll loose a few horsepower ,but to get a good sounding exhaust note its well worth it

yeah that’s what I was thinking and it would lose power? I was thinking of putting it right after the cats and heard from others that it increased the power, is that wrong?

You will NOT lose (note lose not loose!) any power by fitting an X-pipe to a 2010 XF SC, and you may in fact gain some power.
The X-pipe should replace the central muffler but not the resonators, leave the resonators in place or else you risk massive drone.
The factory XFR-S (550 PS vs 510 PS for the XFR) initially came with an X-pipe while the XFR did not, and the F-Type V8 has always had an X-pipe.
When I applied the XKR-S tune to my old 2010 XFR (XKR-S tune rather than XFR-S because Denso vs Bosch ECU but otherwise an identical tune) I discovered that I needed to fit an X-pipe or H-pipe (I went with an H-pipe) before the tune would stick.

This is terrible advice, x pipes are proven to increase hp and tq as they even out the exhaust pressure. All the 550 HP vehicles from JLR come with an x pipe from factory.

You are absolutely right I lost power low down but gained at the top end like I said a small amount that is not noticeable, but only a graph, at Janney racing dyno, ill see if I can find the graph ,that's why I said it's not noticeable but sounds great

Yes stage 2 and a transmission tune , I'll be putting the griptech upper pulley ,which is controversial whether it will make more power, so I'll have a video and dyno it at Janney racing to see what power gains it gets, and whether it's worth it, so you guys can decide, my lower crank pulley and remap made a huge difference, ,the transmission tune was the icing on the cake very reliable ,I've had on for a few years now

I have the Griptech pulley. I had a ton of belt slipping with the crank pulley. It definitley was needed for me at least
