Viezu Tune Review.
Currently been running the Viezu tune on the car for about 2 weeks now and I’m loving it. Only mods are the upper pulley and k&n drop in filters. With the upper pulley and k&n filters with the stock tune best 0-60 time I saw was 4.7 sec and when the tune was added it dropped to 4.1 sec, this was done with Trac DSC and sport mode, with Michelin Pilot 4s on the rears. I also ordered the lower crank pulley so it should be here sometime this week. I also most add that I DO NOT recommend running open air filters on these cars, if your looking for more supercharger whine go for it, but for performance the K&N drop ins are the way to go.
All the mechanics I know and respect say the same thing - most under-bonnet so-called CAI (cold air induction) systems are in fact HAI systems.
The stock induction system on the AJ133 and AJ126 in the XF is pretty damn good because for one thing it pulls the air from a pair of snorkels with the intake trumpets placed behind the middle of the front grille, so it's picking up ambient temp outside air and not hot air from the engine bay.
However I have always though that there must be a better way, a way to get more ambient temp (ie "cool") air and more directly through the intake tubes and into the SC, and at the same time get rid of or at least reduce the bends and resonators and damping which kill the SC whine, but I have never seen or read about or heard of a good working solution.
Surely someone out there must have researched this and come up with a solution, especially seeing as the AJ133 SC has been out for some 14 years now?
My guess is that either a working solution is much too expensive or it would breach safety regs and/or look a bit silly (eg a big bonnet scoop) or there is no solution.

I believe only the F Type guys would benefit from the open air cone filters since it literally sits at the bottom of the fender. The XFs have no other way of getting cold air, I tried every way you could think of there is either no space or some serious modification has to be done which I think it’s not even worth it. I’m planning to add an extra heat exchanger to the auxiliary pump and separate the system. But nonetheless the car is a beast, with the lower crank pulley install I know it will be a monster.

Not sure if it has increased power/torque/performance or not but the throttle response feels a little snappier.
I got it mainly for the increased SC whine and on that front it really delivers.
I put a Eurotoys larger crank pulley and VAP stage 2 tune on a few years ago and that increased the SC whine a fair bit, from almost nothing to a decent bit of whine, but the Mina intake has taken it to a whole other level.
The VAP tune worked to increase the SC whine because it keeps the SC bypass valve shut sooner and longer, dunno if the Viezu tune does the same but you can at least ask them about it.
