Default Now different unlocking behavior.

Used to be when the car was locked I could walk up to it and just pull the handle and the car would unlock and the door would open.

Now, I have to pull the handle twice. The first time unlocks the car and the second opens the door. Not nice when it's raining.

What's up with that?

Sounds strange to me, and not seen that described in the owner's manual. 1st try to double lock and leave for min 15 minutes, keeping the key fob well away from the car. If that does not change it try pulling the fuse for the keyless system for 10 secs.

Try a new battery in the fob or a different fob. Make sure the battery in the car is fully charged.

My drivers door is starting to do it also. I liken it to a dirty lock actuator taking a bit too long to fully unlock the door and you have to double-pull the handle to open the door.

I am going to have it looked at the next service.

Just changed the battery in the fob. No change in behavior.

Try topping the car battery off if you have a charger. It seems like a weak battery can be the cause for a lot of random electrical issues.
