Wiper arm very close to hood

For a 2011 model.

I’ve just noticed that the wiper arm on the driver’s side (LHD) is very close to the edge of the hood. It’s almost touching. Is this normal?

Thanks

i bet it's coming up and off the mount. or it's been indexed incorrectly on the mount. or both.

Thanks. I checked another XF at a dealer over the weekend just to confirm that my situation was not normal. I've now got myself a workshop manual and can see how I need to proceed.

This is a common problem on Saabs. Ends up being a worn windshield wiper regulator.
