Default Wipers

I had a quick look and couldn't find the old thread, but, I was pleasantly surprised when I went into the dealer to pick up a set of wipers. $58 including tax for the pair.

Now, that probably wouldn't have made me happy if there hadn't been a story of having to pay over $70 somehwere in the US at a dealer. So...once...just once, something was actually cheaper here in Canada!

$58 is still a fair bit for a pair of rubber wipers.

Still a lot yes, but better than the $70 with discount that I paid. On the plus side, they do work extremely well.

Check out NAPA or Partsource and you'll find those new style blades are expensive everywhere you shop. I bought a pair of similar sized blades of this type for my Audi: $40.00 after a modest discount.

That's a good price for those factory OEM blades. I've not found anywhere aftermarket carries that style of bayonet fitting. All the parts stores sell are the universal u type, ugly but effective. However, the universal type don't fit the new sleek low profile style wiper arms.

I paid $63.83 last summer, installed. The drivers side was $39.10 and the shorter passenger side was $24.73. GST extra.
