XF 2010 Pink Bulb

My XF 2010 driver side bulb is pink. Is this a bad bulb or a ballast?

I assume you have the Xenon HID headlights? It's the bulb failing - they go pinky first then die

I have a thread on here for the replacement of mine. Have to undo 3 screws to remove the headlight unit (2 under hood, one in wheel well) a bit fiddly to get it out if you have the headlight washers as the water line gets in the way a bit
Once the unit is out it's an easy bulb swap
See YouTube for some videos of how to get headlight unit in and out

Would replace both headlights (one on each side) at the same time so they color match

Mine is a 2010 XF SC. It took a D1S xenon. I bought the Philips 'authentic' D1S standard bulb. Make sure it's original - lots of cheap knock offs. I got the 4200K color temp which is oem standard. Some people like the higher temp for the more pure white/blue look but the light output drops off fast above this so it might 'look good' but won't work as well...

I paid $50 each

Not sure if they are Xenon but yes, HID. Jag OEM bulb is over $300 for one. that's too rich for me so I will go with the after market. how do I know what kind of bulb I need? Can you send me a link of the one you bought?

Yes. Sounds like the one. No idea why the jag ones are so expensive as they are just standard bulbs

This is what I got - the Philips D1S at 4200k
When I took out the jag one it was an osram but essentially identical to this
Suggest you replace both sides at the same time
