XF SV8 Fuel Mileage
 

Anyone else with an XF SV8 care to share what kind of mileage they're getting?

the sticker said (i think) 16/23 which was very close to what the sticker on my old S-Type said. The S-Type averaged 19MPG, and regularly topped 26-29MPG on long trips on the freeway.

So far my XF is averaging about 14MPG, and even on freeway trips it's never topped 22MPG.. I've only got about 650 miles on it and i know it still needs a little 'seating in', but i'm wondering what I should expect.

... and no.. my foot is NOT usually in it.. [8D]

You neglected to mention what type of S type you had? Was it an R?
If you are geting 22 on highway, that is pretty standard for that car.
You should see about 320 miles to tank or so.

sorry.. the S was an '02 Sport (4.0 V8).. it got good mileage when i was careful.. but it could easily dip down to 14-16mpg.. but on average it was around 19ish..

Then it was normal too. The S-type R and even your car will be tougher on gas due to supercharger.
Go throughba few tanks and repost an average.
