2019 seat heater icon disappeared
Sorry if this problem has been previously posted.
Yesterday when we turned on our XJ50, we noticed that the seat heater icon was missing from the dashboard. The massage icon showed up fine, but nothing for the seat heater. We messed around with the screen buttons but to no avail. Later on in the day, we started it up again, and everything was back to normal. The car has just over 2000 miles on it and is garaged. A bad fuse perhaps? Thanks for your help!

All sorts of electrical gremlins happen when the battery starts to discharge, which is common in cold weather. After you ran the car, it was back to normal because the alternator charged the battery back up.
You should always lock your doors, even when parked in your garage, to shut down convenience mode and minimize battery drain. And never leave your Smartkey in or near your XJ to stop it from communicating with your car and draining the battery.
If you don't drive at least 20 minutes every day, consider buying a smart battery maintainer to keep your battery fully charged. I recommend the CTEK MUS4.3 and always keep my XJ hooked up to it at home. It's an easy DIY installation. Here's how I did it.
