Jake didn't mention it on the HP, but I think Europe will only get the V-6 diesel, but in the States, we'll get the 3.0-liter V-6 and the 5.0-liter V-8. Which is good news. That said, I thought the video that went along with the announcement was pretty rad!

 

The video is cool but the model itself is underwhelming. I was expecting something a bit more unique or new.

 

Yeah, I hear you. The video really made me miss my '78 Series II. Favorite car I've ever owned!

 

So they are slightly updating the design for 2018. Big deal. Should have called it the X352 or maybe X351a.

 

I never owned a Series II but I really feel that was the best XJ design of all, along with the Coupe.

 

All RHD UK registered models (starting with Sir William Lyons personal XJ6) until the XJ50.
