Question Cost of Servicing in UK Jaguar Dealers

From your experiences, can anyone tell me the cost of servicing a (2013) Jaguar XJ Portfolio when using the UK Jaguar dealership network please. The Jaguar website does not give pricing details.

May I suggest that you look around for a good Indy?
If you ever run into anything bigger / more expensive than servicing it will save you lots & lots of money.

There's a really good one in your area, just not as close as you'd like I guess, Chris at the Jag specialist in Doncaster....people travel for miles to use him, from London, myself a couple of times from Glasgow, and further afield

You run into anything that's going to get into 3 or 4 figures and he'll just save you time and money.
Sorry I don't know of anyone nearer you, have you looked at the recommended suppliers in the UK section?

Thanks Jim I will bear that recommendation in mind. It is a good drive from me, but it may prove useful one day.

Hi John
I've also got a 2013 XjL Portfolio due for service at 20k
Phoned a few around London best quote I've managed to find is £495.00
That's at Stratstone Woodford
Been warned to stay away from NorthOne Jaguar. (apparently a bunch of Cowboys)
And tbh I myself didn't find their customer service particular pleasant neither.
How are you getting on?

This sounds similar to my quote, was just under £500, go to an independent. A good indy will use the same Castrol oil and filters.

People argue that it means your car will lose value, but think about it, who cares if it loses value, if overall you are making a better return?

£500 x 5 years servicing is £2500. Going to an indy a good service will cost around £200, which is £1000 over 5 years.

Thats a £1500 difference, after 5 years, your car will not lose £1500 if you tell someone its got a full service history, partly at main deal, partly at a independent. Overall you save more in the long run. I only go to the main deal when I have serious issues that indys cant solve or things that are covered under my warranty.

Have you confirmed that the car isn't on a service plan bought by its previous owner? My service plan was £1500 for 5 years.
