Default Grinding noise then DTS fault

My 2012 XJL made a grinding noise like the differential was trying to lock then multiple warning lights came on on the dash.It sounded like I ran over a trash can or something. I was close to home so I parked it in the driveway. I restarted it and all the warnings went away. I thought it was a fluke, but it happened again. This time my wife was driving. It really freaked her out as the car seemed to slow with oncoming traffic approaching. Does anybody have any insight?
Much thanks

I'd certainly check for any damage or a source of a fluid leak underneath. Definitely get it checked out soon...replacing a pan and doing a fluid change is a lot cheaper than the alternative.
