Jaguar Land Rover will launch 50 new or revised models in the next six years, according to its UK head.

Jeremy Hicks, Jaguar Land Rover UK, made the bold statement while unveiling a new global focus by the brand on the fleet market.

The question is "from when" exactly, do they count the F-Type, the Evoque, the L494 RRS and L405 RR in this count?

What about variants of the various models, or by engine size? If you look at the F-Type alone there could be 12 or more "variants" so that doesn't make it hard to get up to 50 across the range... does the Project 7 count as separate to the F-Type? Or do you split up the F-Type as Coupe, Convertible & Project 7? Is the Range Rover Sport SVR a separate model to the regular RRS?

It's all a bit ambiguous really...

Let's speculate on what's coming & include what we already know are on the way;

XE (sedan + coupe + wagon + convertible = 4 models?)
CX17 (3 door + 5 door ?)
Updated XF
Updated XJ
XK replacement
Discovery Sport (Freelander 2 replacement)
Replacement for the Disco 4 / LR4
Replacement for the Defender

XJ Coupe?
F-Type GT3 or GT4?

By 2020 there will probably be a replacement for the existing models in the Land Rover lineup as well, the current models will be pushing 8 years old, so that will build the numbers up.

I hope there is some left field stuff coming...

 

I'd be happy if they added 2 door coupe versions of the XE, XF and XJ loaded with german crushing power plants.

 

I love that color. Incredibly elegant when paired with a set of black or brushed wheels. Maserati actually has a very similar color called Rosso Folgore.
