Keeping Wheels Clean on XJ

Once you've got them clean, a sealer will make it easier to keep them clean.
I've been using this on my Sepangs which were a p.i.t.a. to keep free of brake dust for more than a couple of days:
Autoglym - car cleaning products, car care products, car valeting, car detailing
It's a UK product which may not be available in the US but Google 'wheel seal' and you should come up with similar products.
Of course, someone in the US could usefully post this information...........

I use elbow grease and very regular cleaning to keep mine looking like new.....hard work but worth it and only warm soapy water is needed.
I've tried the Sonax Full Effect wheel cleaner.............awesome and acid friendly to both your wheels and the environment. You can literally just spray this on, leave for around a minute or so and then pressure wash off to get them sparkling again.....I always have a wipe round myself though.
The added bonus is that it goes on a high viz yellow colour but turns purple as it reacts with the brake dust / iron particles etc.
I don't perssonally use wheel sealer or protectants but there are some good products out there I believe

I have used both Opti-Seal and Poorboy's Wheel Sealant. I've found that most sealants work about the same on wheels. The sealants that I don't like on my paint (for whatever reason) are the ones I try to use up on my wheels just so they don't go to waste. Not a big fan of Opti-Seal so it went into the "use on wheels" bucket for me...

Here's some more info on keeping the wheels cleaner when and if you need to replace the brake pads

I'll chime in here (though I am an XF man...just warning you!) since I just asked my dealer this yesterday.
Brake dust is the hardest thing to keep off the new Jags because the brakes are "so good" that the second you brake, it accumulates. Mine builds up often...I try to clean them twice per week...if I let them go a whole week, they are caked on.
My salesman is amazing, and he said that he uses the Armor All Wheel Protectant on his 2012 XF Portfolio (and formerly, 2010 XF Luxury). He said its amazing, just like Jagfan did above. I'm going to try it soon, as I'm sick of cleaning those wheels!

I have also had a positive experience with the Armor All.
