My 2015 XJL Supercharged better than my 2012 Porsche Carrera 4S
Having driven both cars extensively on extended trips I must say my Jag 5.0 Supercharged is vastly superior in every area. Performance/power 470 vs 385 ( for some reason I feel the Jag is much more powerful, especially when passing traffic), comfort (of course/ especially with massage chairs), Meridian Reference Sound System in the Jag is 1000x better than Bose in the Porsche. Only probable place the Porsche C4S beats the Jag is on the track which I never go. Of course the C4S (mine has Porsche sports exhaust and sports chrono plus) gets much more attention which I can do without.

I also have a 997 2009 c2s, and a 2011 XJL supercharged, my 997 has 50k on the clock and has had zero maintenance outside of normal scheduled maintenance. Has absolutely no problems. My xj with similar mileage already had a blown motor when I got it, and all I've been doing is fixing things since I've owned it. While it's a blast to drive the build quality is so bad compared to the 911. But That's probably why i got it so cheap, but still it's difficult to compare the 2 cars. I love the XJL it's just been a journey trying to sort out all the little problems.

I agree the Carrera is well put together. But my Jag has been solid for the past year and is CPO for another 4 years. The quality of the materials being put together is another story tho. My 2012 C4S has the full leather option. But the quality (feel, touch)of the leather is far beneath than that in the xj. Let’s not even talk about the boss in the Carrera vs the meridian reference in the Jag. It’s like comparing motel 6 (stayed coupla time decades ago) to The Ritz Carlton ( love their Asprey purple water) .

Yes you can't compare the interiors. My old 996 with full leather was way nicer then my 997.2 full supple leather, but everything feels so cheap . I had to have all the plastic interior painted to match the car color, and buy an expensive carbon steering wheel and aftermarket navy screen, now it at least looks a lot better. Still feels cheap, and omg the Bose doesn't compare the the meridian. :-) I'm just amazed how much I've always beat on my porsches and they always keep on running strong. I don't think they get enough credit for the reliability factor. I've been redlining that car for years and it's still runs and sounds perfectly ( fabspeed intake and exhaust)
My jag is black with illumination and carbon fiber and looks incredible inside and out. . And sounds like a muscle car, and does feel a bit like a sports car, if I had to choose I'd keep the porsche as I just love driving it too much. Plus it will hold its value a lot better.
They are both beautiful cars

I can't speak for all years but 2011 XJ 470 & 510HP are underrated 0 to 60 by a second or better.
In 2011 SuperSports were special order so all testing was done with SuperCharged. 470HP.
Car & Driver plus Motor Trend ( If I remember correctly) tested 470HP.
0 to 60 was 4.0 & 4.1 compared to the book value above 5 seconds. This would bring in the 510 HP easily under 4.0.
On YouTube there are some races, rolling off @ different speeds. I was shocked on what the Jag was taking on. It was beating and or keeping up with everything it came against.
