Thumbs down A new member of the roof popping club

Well it took almost a year and 11k but I am now a not so proud member of the roof popping club.

I understand now the complaints you all made. It does sound like a gun shot going off. My passengers jump and ask 'what the hell was that?'

Hopefully when I take it in for its 12k service all will be right with the world again. I think I am going to go ahead and take it back down to Park Place in Dallas so I hope they can diagnose and order parts quickly. I enjoy the 'big city' but don't really want to spend a week in a hotel. lol

I got the latest and greatest tsb, and it's been great! Completely fixed. Driving the extra gustave for a good dealer is worth it, imho.

Good luck!

I agree about using a good dealer with a lot of experience at fixing this. I have had no noises as well since the latest TSB about a year ago. Good luck.

Dochands, mind sharing the last 5 digits of your car's VIN? I wonder what is the VIN number from where this problem has been fixed at the factory...

09143. I was very careful on making sure the current TSB were fulfilled before I took possession of the car. Hopefully there is a newer better fix or else a repeat of the previous to keep the problem away.

Any other new and interesting TSBs I should make sure they perform?
