Ride quality issues update with my '12 XJL
Just wanted to post a quick update to my numerous posts where I complained about the ride of my '12 XJL since new. I had the car back to the dealer several times, had contacted Jaguar of NA and got no solution. Tried to get rid of the car as I simply hated to drive it but the depreciation was too great to swallow.
So, onto the present. I have the car for 2 years now and that terrible jiggly, vibrating ride has magically improved to such a degree that I am finding that I love driving the car. Not at all sure what changed. All along I suspected that the electronic dampers did not work correctly as the ride felt harsh and un-dampened. Now, the ride is fine and instead of trying to get rid of the XJL I am thinking of actually purchasing it after the end of my lease. But, what if I do and suddenly the bad ride returns? Wouldn't that be a bummer?
