Washing our XJ

Hello everyone. Question? I always hand wash my own car and I just want your input on the type of car wash as well as detailing spray you guys may use.

Zaino (https://www.zainostore.com/) products for me, all the way. I posted some pics after I had recently washed and waxed my car, and the proof is in the pudding, as they say!

I agree 100% with LiquidIce.

I've always used Zaino in all my cars ( well, except the 4x4's :) ) : Porsche, BMW and now the Jaguar.

Great products !

I have never heard of zaino over here in the uk, I had my car treated with gardex used to be recommended by jaguar dealers over here applied it myself. did not like the results that much, in my opinion I prefer autoglym products

Hi Charlie,

I'm European as well but I was introduced to Zaino products by a very famous Portuguese detailing company : cardetail.pt

They do top end work - for example, Pagani Spain send their cars from Madrid to Lisbon to get detail and then back - thats a 1200kms trip on a closed truck..... but then again, charging almost 1 million euros per car, they can do that for their customers.

McLaren Spain do the same thing - send their cars to detail them on that company.

They use 100% Zaino products and when they detail my 911 Turbo, used it and it looked SUPERB :)

I agree with the use of Zaino. Started on my 2002 X type bought new. My 2005 C 6, and now my 2014 XJL Best stuff for protection and shine. 13 years of Pittsburgh winters on the X Type, and it looks like new.

Your Corvette looks quite similar to mine, same color, etc, and I also own a XJL. Great minds think alike. Peace!

I just run it through the car wash at the gas station and get it detailed once a month. It's a car, I'm sure it can handle the elements...

Hand Wash Only!

Best Jaguar Ad of All Time!
From the Dudley Moore movie "Crazy People":
http://thefinchpost.typepad.com/.a/6...b139970d-800wi

In the above scene, Dudley Moore, the salesman, is explaining to Paul Reiser, the buyer, that this ad tells Jaguar owners to always have their cars washed, polished and buffed by hand, preferably by a woman with a soft touch, in order to keep the paint like new.

Compared to a machine buffer, a hand job beats it every time! :icon_banana::icon_banana::icon_banana:
