Who are the 351's Major Suppliers?

I had the privilege of touring the Castle Bromwich plant where major body parts are stamped and the car comes together. If you are in London by all means take the train up to Birmingham and have that experience!

Still, I am wondering who the major suppliers are....suppliers of those essential items that appear at the plant ready to be installed. These includes the engine, transmission, dash, electronics, leather seats, etc. Perhaps Jaguar produces these elsewhere but I suspect that many if not all of them come from independent firms.

Can anyone help identify the origin of one or more of these major components?

Thanks!

Jaguar AJ-V8 engine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia has a good story about where the engines are built. Could you take photos in the plant?

Engines are Jaguar/Land Rover: Engine Manufacturing ( it's a link to the
"careers" section but does talk about the new plant)

Transmissions are ZF: ZF Friedrichshafen AG | Home | Motion and Mobility

Not sure about other components but recent cars have parts from the usual suppliers: Denso, Hella, Visteon etc...

Greg, thanks for the reply. Photographs were not allowed in the plant. However there are some very extensive videos of the XJ production at You Tube.

Just one example can be found at:

That's an informative video. Car plants sure have changed! It's spotless in there.

I believe the engine is imported from Germany - built by Ford. The transmission, one of the best in the world, by ZF, Germany.

I used to remember the place they got the leather from, but can't think of it now. It's from an Italian company, that also produces the leather for Ferrari.
