Would you pay $9000 more for 10K fewer miles and two years newer?

I did one final back-to-back drive between two 2013 XJ L Portfolios: one Supercharged V8, the other the normally-aspirated V8. There was definitely a noticeable performance difference with the SC, but ultimately I decided that the regular V8 was good enough.

I would go for the 2015. I had the 2010 and there are a number of significant improvements in the My 2015. I got mine in January with no miles on it so very similar to your situation.I sold my 2010 v8 with 25000 miles and paid some US45000 difference( I am in NZ).
is the 2013 the one with the new touchscreen.? The old screen was very slow.the 2013 also had the B&W sound and in my view the jaguar surround meridian is better. If either have blind spot monitoring or adaptive cruise those are a significant advantage. As to the power difference between the v8 and the V6 I had the dealer upgrade the ecu to 280 kw so the power is lineball. The 8 speed is definitely a step up on the 6 but that should be in the MY2013.
Finally the MY2015 touchscreen had upgrades from 2013 to further improve performance.

Hi Jaz1156,
The touchscreen in my 2013 XJ L is definitely faster than the one on the 2011 XJ Supercharged V8 that I drove several weeks ago. I know that some folks think the 2013 iteration is still too slow, but you've gotta understand: I'm coming from a 2004 XJR that had a positively antediluvian touchscreen... I think my new kitty's screen is plenty fast!
Speaking of fast: I drove one of the V6 SC models, and felt it was definitely a bit under-powered, in my opinion. 2013 was the last model year that Jaguar offered the naturally-aspirated 5.0L V8, so I figured it was a good compromise between model year age and performance, seeing as how I didn't want to pony up for one of the supercharged V8's. And besides, 385 hp and 380 ft-lbs of torque give this cat lots of vrrrroom! I understand some forum members have flashed their ECU to bump the horsepower and torque into the 400's and I'll admit I'm curious, but I'm glad I saved the money and didn't spend several thousand more for one of the models with a supercharged V8. At the end of the day, I based my decision on the pristine condition and low mileage of the example I purchased, and the gorgeous British Racing Green paint scheme, which is somewhat less commonly-found around these parts. She's a pretty kitty, if I say so myself.

Oooh, shiny! Silver, blue, and red were my alternate choices if I didn’t buy the green XJ L. (Honestly, almost any color other than black or white for the exterior and black for the interior would have been acceptable, but I’m tickled pink (green?) that I found a pristine BRG with a tan interior. As God is my witness, I will never buy another car with a black leather interior, EVER!)
