1995 XJ12 sells for $23100
Went to the Auburn Indiana auto auction yesterday and saw a beautiful white XJ12 with 2172 actual miles already sold for $23100. It had no glove box so must have been an early model.
The car had new tires and was in fantastic condition. Seeing one like new was like stepping back in time to the dealers showroom. The chrome mirror covers had no pits, paint was flawless and interior pristine.
I have a good condition 96 xj6 vdp but after seeing this one, it puts it in a different perspective.

That car has only been appreciated as a museum exhibit! But plenty of room for occasional use now, while maintaining very low mileage. Hopefully it will get out on the roads more often. Wonder if it's had its first oil change yet?
The new owner must be thrilled. Basically it is still a new car, for about 1/3 the cost of a new one back in the day.
I think the auctions are the best way to sell, for those that are still in great condition with low miles. Its rarity will boost the values and get bidders going.
