Body work?

I’m very new here on these forums but have read absolutely everything I could find on this beautiful car and my lord you guys are saints for keeping these discussions and this model alive. I have a British racing green 1995 XJ12, just hit 70,000 miles yesterday and drives like a dream. She was phenomenally well kept, interior is immaculate, however the previous owners hit a deer some years ago. The damage was extremely minimal, being only a small section of paint chipping on the roof and bonnet but also a dent underneath the front right headlights. Does anybody know if it’s that can be a simple quarter panel replacement or the full bumper? I wish to restore her to all that she used to be, and barring the small paint ticks this dent is the only exterior deficiency.

Sounds like a lovely car, a nice find. Congratulations, sounds like a keeper.

Is the dent below the headlights actually on the bumper? The headlights surround is make out of plastic. Is the metal bumper top trim dented? That can be replaced separately. Doesn't sound like it would be too costly if you went to the right body shop. Can you post a picture of the region in question? Wouldn't mind seeing the whole car while you're at it!

There she is

She’s a bit dirty from the drive yesterday but I’m bringing her to the shop today to fix these solder connections on the ABS and then straight to the wash!

This and the last pic are the extent of the dented damage by the deer

From what I can see in the photos, the only panel needing replacement is the LH Headlamp Trim Panel (item 11):

This is still showing as available from Jaguar.

Thanks for those photos. Very nice. Honestly, I don't see anything much to worry about with the left headlight area. The upper part of the headlight trim between the lamps can be loosened with one nut and pulled back a bit, to match the front edge of the hood. The nut is accessible with the hood open. Won't that take care of it? I'm not seeing a dent at all.

Fixed

As it turns out you were totally right, no dent at all, installation was just dumb by the looks of it. Opened the bonnet and unscrewed the panel a bit to push it in and then rescrewed it and it fits back in place looking as it should, thanks everyone!
