rock crawler buggy project based on Jag V12 engine - need help
first of all sorry for my poor english
Last year I started an off road buggy (rock crawler) project based on a jaguar V12 6l and automatic transmission I bought a complete car and I removed the engine and gearbox. I took a lot of pictures with my phone, but unfortunately my mobile phone broke and I was unable to recover the pictures. Now I am at the stage of mounting: cooling, fuel lines, brake lines and servo steering and to be honest I don't know exactly how to do it. So I really need your help; do you have the cooling/brake/fuel/servo manual or should I take some pictures with what details I need ? For instance engine oil lines are going to the small radiator, while the gearbox oil lines are going to the big (water/oil) radiator ? or the small radiator and the big one are connected (oil lines)? thanks |
for instance the Cooling system is having: heater -heater pump and heater valve
what is the role of those? as I want to remove them and connect direclty thanks |
o you know specifically what car the engine and transmission came out of? it would be helpful. The 6.0 V12 was used in the XJS, the "XJ40" sedans, and the "X300" Sedans.....with detail changes in plumbing, wiring, etc for different years and models.
The parts catalog can be useful in such cases, for example: Engine oil cooler pipes in X300 sedan Oil Cooler and Pipes-6.0 Litre - Parts For XJ Series from (V)720125 to (V)812255 (X300) | Jaguar Heritage Parts UK For the XJ40 sedan Oil Cooler and Pipes-6.0 Litre - Parts For XJ6 & XJ12 from (V)667829 to (V)708757 | Jaguar Heritage Parts UK For the XJS Oil Cooler and Pipes-6.0 Litre - Parts For XJS from (V)179737 to (V)226645 | Jaguar Heritage Parts UK Cheers DD |
The car was a 4 doors XJ81 from 1993

A service manual and parts catalog for that model will probably give you most of the info you need. As you can see, the parts catalog is easy ! Genuine Jaguar Parts and Jaguar Accessories for classic Jaguars from Jaguar Heritage Parts UK But, someone may come along and be able to give you the answers you need...especially if you post in the "XJ40" section Cheers DD |
thank you
