My '02 VDP has suddenly stopped responding to either of the remotes--I put new batteries in each, but no change. Power locks work when operated with the key. Also, the left rear brake light started staying on at the same time, even with car off and manually locked. Have had to remove the bulb. Plus, the right brake light now doesn't work at all (but the center window one does). Also, neither tail light works now. Have checked the brake light relay and that's not it. Everything was working fine this morning! Is there some common issue here that I'm not smart enough to figure out? Help!

 

My local independent Jag shop--Kat's British in Englewood, CO--helped me out with the secret knowledge. There is a little 5-amp fuse in the trunk fuse box that controls the alarm and when it blows it causes exactly what I experienced. Thanks, Doug & Nate!!
