Just a FYI, came across an '08-'09 complete grille on ebay. Would love to get it for my car but have other priorities at the moment. Would look great on someone's X350!

 

No worries, sure I can find it. Been thinking about one of those for my 06 XJ8L, then again I painted my grill body color (colour) and that looks good, a la' XJR. At first I was concerned it would make me look like a poser to any jaguar enthusiast that would instantly recognise the chrome surrounding the side glass and the chrome plinth (06 removed the chrome around the windscreen and rear glass and made the glass flush mount) Then I noticed that 05 and 06 models have the chrome on the side glass at least. Not sure what that is about or if it is universal or just a particular trim package but there are lots of them with that chrome. Which is good, because painting that trim looks to be a pain, and I worry that it would not hold up over time.

One forum member at least has put the grill on and it does look really nice. It changes the character of the car though, so I am on a fence regarding this modification. As far as exterior, there are very few mods on the menu for X350's - Big old wing on the boot anyone?

I noticed a couple forum members with the '08-'09 grille and in my opinion think it looks fantastic. But it may be because the wife said the front of our '04 looks like a "Buick". Ouch.... but the more I look at it, the more I see it.


Speaking of grilles, anybody have an opinion on the Mina Gallery "new style" full mesh grille? (not the inserts) That may be my second choice but I cant find enough pics to make a solid opinion.

 

That grille looks great!!! I may go with that. I have a lower mesh grille on mine already...
