2004 XJ8 at local Junkyard

This is the first time a junk 2004 Jaguar XJ8 shown up in my local junk yard. Its a self pull a part. I am planning to pull the air shocks ($15.00 each) , pump, couple O2 sensor ($10.00 each), couple coils ($10.00 each). What other rare parts should I pull?

Alternator, air compressor.

Starter, sensors, wiring harnesses with the components that are pulled.
If you have the money, and space, the whole vehicle as a parts car.

Sun visors, if they are in good condition (I'ii take the drivers side thank you :) ) As many of those little "push pins" in the engine compartment as you can find. Cigar lighters. Spare change under the seats.

And on, and on and on. Strip everything electric/electronic. Skip the bushings.

Check the headlights. If they are Xenon grab them. They are worth a lot. Get the connections also. I wish I could find one here to strip. You are lucky.

How much for the car????

annamiata 01-21-2019 09:28 AM

I was there last Sunday to remove parts. I could not go Saturday and someone beat to it and took bunch of parts including side mirrors, abs brake pump, driver head light, driver fender. The car was involved in a passenger side accident. I was able to purchase the air compressor, complete throttle body, three coils, three injectors, thermostat housing, coolant heat pump, air flow sensor, wheel lugs, and three or four dozen of nuts and bolts for less than $100.00. I could not remove bottom bolts from the shocks. I will come back with impact gun, blow torch to unfreeze the bolt.

They do not sell whole car.
