when cables are hooked up there is power showing to the instrument panel but only a click when i turn the key.
fyi... this was running fine one day then was dead the next. when i jumped it a couple weeks ago it fired up but not today

By the sound of things you have a dead battery.

You may also have a dead starter if it only clicks and does not turn the engine over.

The other possibility, even tho remote, you have a locked engine possibly because of fuel flooding a cylinder
or even something else flooding a cylinder.

Any failure codes?
