Default 2004 XJR wheel stud

Found that I was missing the left rear wheel stud. Evidently it had snapped off. After finding a replacement stud and nut on Amazon,it appears one has to pull off the wheel hub to do so. Has anybody else dealt with this issue? Getting the castle nut off was quite the job, needed a 4-ft breaker bar to do so. I'm assuming I'm going to need to torque it back on at what spec don't know, along with some loctite. There is no place for a cotter pin for the castle nut. Cannot find any other method other than pulling the hub and wondering if there is another way without doing such?

If I look at how the assembly is, I also do not see any other way to do the job than to pull the hub.

Here's the torque you need for the hub nut (taken from the workshop manual), no wonder that you needed a 4ft breaker bar...

Best regards,

Thomas

From looking at the other studs, which aren't available from Jag, at least not my local dealer, they seem to be turned down a bit for the first 1/2" which makes me wonder if I ground mine down if I might get the angle. I was not able to get the hub off and 220 foot pounds of torque to put the nut back on was beyond my measuring capabilities. Using a 4' piece of pipe and some grunting was the best I could do. I'll let someone else deal with this as as much as I tried could not get the hub off and it's not worth anymore effort IMHO from me. Don't have the requisite tools.

Having a problem resetting the electric brake piston to get that back together. From what I can tell it's not hydraulic. I can't see any lines. Has anyone any information regarding the electric brake? It's cable operated and the cable comes off freely but I can't get it to retract all the way in to get both pads on and the assembly to bold together.

Careful use of heat should give you better results removing the hub.
Use the same piece of pipe to retorque the hub nut
