Default 2008 VDP Ping/Spark Knock problem

I have a 6 month old VDP which I love but for one problem. I am hearing an intermitant noise from the engine that sounds like Spark Knock. I usually hear it when gently accelerating from a constant speed. Dealer "couldn't find an abnormal noise" and found no codes. It's not terribly loud but certainly not what you want to hear from this class of car. I only use high octane gas from Chevron/BP/Shell. I will bring it back to the dealer but would like to go with some ideas of what's happening. Any thoughts? Thanks

Take the technician on a drive with you and alert him to the noise. Sometimes they do not hear what you hear.

Have been traveling and have not had time to go back to dealer. The sound(s) have multiplied! When coasting at speed you hear a slight rattle from the engine. Again, at speed from coasting, when you press the accellerator you get an occassional knock like noise from the engine. To complicate matters I got a temporary "Vehicle Too Low" warning yesterday and, while driving, you hear a faint beep every 3 seconds from the back right corner of the car (no - doesn't sound like a parking sensor) and I can't figure out the source. From inside it sounds like it's coming from the gas tank. Sounds like unrelated items; perhaps my Jag is just possessed! Love the look, ride and handling of this car. Just wish is didn't rattle, knock and beep!

Yes, thought it sounded like a muffled beep coming from the truck it turned out to be coming from somewhere deep withing the back seat AC unit (I have the hot weather package). This has subsequently been fixed.

Hey, I have occasionally heard a similar knock. Has yours been fixed?

How's your acceleration? Have you checked your fuel filters/lines any time lately? You might try changing the fuel filter... sounds like you're running a bit lean. A plugged fuel filter will sometimes muck things up.
