2012 XJL -Engine Light-DMTL Pump
Engine light went out for a short period (one day) when I replaced the MAP sensor. When light re-appeared I reluctanly went to the dealer who diagnosed problem as faulty DMTL pump which loses seal. Apparently, defective DMTL pump does not affect engine performance. Dealer quoted $800 (Can) for new part, plus $1400 for labour.
I decided to put up with the engine light (but may cover in black tape), but may have to fix in a couple of years to pass emission test. Cost to repair looks to me to be excessive. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I'd do a little more research but it appears to be a generic Bosch pump. Possibly
