Default Barrett Parts????

I placed an order with Barretts and its been over a month. No tracking number. Like to know if they are always this long in shipping and is it customary that they. Is this a normal wait period 2-3months??

I would say a month is not customary. Have you been in contact to find out what has happened to the order ? You can only get a tracking number if the shipping company provide the information. Have the goods been advised as "on the way" ?

It's been my experience that they ship much quicker than that. Maybe that part is on backorder. You should email them. They're good about answering emails, in my experience.

Default What's the best front wheel bearings parts for my XJ8 2003/04 Jag company.

Dont want inferior after market questionable parts. Got the aluminum body for an XJ8 305. Need front wheel bearings replaced. Is the an easy excercise ? Any specialty tools needed ?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------SNG BARRATT-------UHHH BEWARE THE ROPE A DOPE---------------------------------------------------------------------------

-------WOW_------! I just received a call from the Barratt guys. My late order which I placed for over the stated free shipping amount(over $350), they now would like to charge me an additional $190.00 for shipping. I told the guy your website states over 300+ and its free shipping, his reply "oh that is only up to $50.00". What a RIP OFF!!! First you are extremely slow shipping then you want to charge me almost half of the total cost to ship to me. Their prices are not that cheap on the parts anyway so I wasn't really saving anything there but I figured they gave me a free parts manual for my car and I can get everything in one place. I didn't mind paying what they asked for their parts, I made sure I purchased more than enough to get the free shipping and what do I get. Late shipping and they try to boost me for additional shipping. I CANCELLED THE ORDER. I WILL PAY THE EXTRA COST FROM SOME OTHER VENDORS. I am not sure about anyone else in our community but cost is not the issue deception is. I WILL NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM EVER. Just my 2 cents. Oh yeah, it pissed me off, if they had just charged the shipping up front, no problem, but this smells of **** PRODUCTION.

What did you order that would cost that much to ship? That's insane. They only charged me $20 to ship a hood insulator, which is friggen huge!

I order several items from two under body shields to nuts and fasteners which I wanted to replace. I would not have minded shipping charges if they had just said these items are large and require additional shipping cost, but if you advertise free shipping once a certain threshold is reached and a customer surpasses that threshold and not by 1 or 2 dollars you should honor your site advertisement. I was about to order the other pieces of the underbody protection because they were all scratched up on the car from the previous owners abuse which would be another $475.00 in parts cost and now I wouldn't trust them to charge one thing at the purchase and then 3-4 weeks later call me and say, oh we have to charge you another $200 for additional shipping.
Guys, we all know our parts are expensive. It is part of owning a Jag, but be straight up with me, don't try to sucker me. I just felt this was wrong on many levels. This is my 4th Jag and I love my Jags, but I don't like being taken advantage of or being suckered.

Check the closest dealers price, they do surprise you sometimes.
