Unhappy Climate Control Blower Motor Replacement help please

Greetings:

Suddenly there is silence when I try to turn on the CCB or Fan. I am thinking it is the blower that may have gone bad because I have noticed an annoying ringing sound from the fan for some time. I think the it was the fan bearings that were making that noise, and had this issue before on a 635 BMW as the drain had stopped up and the fan motor would get wet, and eventually went bad. The ringing noise would stop when you turned the fan on high on the 2004 XJ8 that I am writing about.

So I did a search and found a lot about the modules that go bad and how to check and replace them, but did not find anything on replacing the blower motor.

Is there a thread here that tells you how to do this? Is it easy to do? I am assuming I should still check the module and thing with the fins on it?
Help is appreicated.

Pulling the blower is not a dash-out job on the car. Just remove the glove box, reach up and unbolt it. It sounds like something fell against the fan so look for it.
