Famous trunk latch problems again... Helpppp!!
Put some oil and grease in the gears
After open the mecanism...
Hi guys after all this years and problems wit the trunk latch i decide to open the dam thing with my dreemel ...
With no luck the latch still not open all the way..
I grease up all the inside and manage to put all back the same way with no luck...
Look for it on you tube and nothing related to it
Google same thing
We should start to make some king of challenge to figure this out... Is too expensive to replace that part every other year... 250 or so for that..
I cant. Not belive there's none here that has fond out yet how to fix this thing...
Is anybody in for this..
My original latch failed a few years ago-dismantled it and found plastic gear box seized.
Replaced with used unit but that failed recently in a rather peculiar way which leads me
to believe that it was due to a weak spring.
I now have another used unit fitted but when it arrived it was dated 2003 so fingers crossed.
I may be able to make two into one running one when I can work out 1 how it works and 2 why the
last one failed.- not easy!
