A few question re parts for '04 XJR X350

Hi all,
I hope I'm posting in the correct forum - I did read the main points for rules but you never know so apologies in advance if I infringe!

Bought my beautiful '04 plate X350 XJR a few months ago and am loving it. I've had some work done on it already to bring it up to my standards and spent around a K on:

New accessory belt kit
New supercharger belt
Major service
Second hand CD changer (other was seized)
New battery
Aircon regas

Have also ordered a chrome trim for the boot (where the open button is and where it says 'Jaguar') as I frankly preferred to match the chrome on the bumper (just like my old X-Type). Also ordering new boot gas struts as current ones not great and need to order front bumper washer pump as one is missing.

ANYWAY what I'd like to know are two things:

Where can I source the lights that go behind the buttons around the touchscreen? Sounds picky but the led (I imagine it's led?) has gone for the driver side heated seat, however the three red 'bars, denoting the heat level does still function, any ideas?

And my final question - I've read elsewhere about some XJs having the voice command module installed, I think, below the cd changer. Now I don't seem to be able to use the voice command function on the steering wheel so I assume I don't? Although for the first few weeks I had the car when I pushed the button it would say 'listening' on the computer readout on the dashboard...I attach a pic from when I replaced the cd changer.

Thank you in advance to all!

Dan

You seem to have several additional modules besides the Nav DVD and the CD changer.

You may have VACM and Bluetooth modules?

What is that top most box?

It seems to me that you do have VACM otherwise I do not think you would get the "Listening" prompt.

What voice commands have you tried? Selecting a CD is one of the easiest commands.

"Play CD changer disc one" as an example.

Cool - I'll re-experiment. To be fair last time i tried I didn't have the car switched on, only the battery.

From the top: DVD player, Nav DVD, Cd changer

I've also only tried to get it working with trying to get it to call people with the 'voice tags' on the in car Motorola phone

The voice control module (VACM) is the second module from the bottom in the pic, just under the CD changer.

Yup looks like it works, thanks!

Did anyone know anything about replacing the leds behind the buttons on the front console? Still need to replace the green light behind the driver side heated seat button

Thanks

Dan

Also just switched up the factory tailgate trim (which was the same colour as the car) to a chrome one which I much prefer. What do you guys think?

Dan :)

I prefer the chrome but then I'm old! lol

Yes I really like the chrome. I'm similarly tempted to get a chrome surround for the front grill too!

Re the heated seat led here are some pics. You can see clearly that the green light isn't illuminated as it is on the passenger side.

Anyone any ideas?

Thanks!

Dan
