Default Fuel line to intake manifold

Searching for help. I'm in the process of removing the intake manifold to renew the hose underneath it. The car is a 2004 X350 4.2.The manifold is disconnected from the rest exept for the fuel line. It seems to consist of a fuel line with a regulator in the middle. I can't see how to disconnect it without breaking something. There must be a way. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance, Pieter

Picture would help to get youcorrect answer quickly!
I am not sure that any fuel lines goes to intake manufold. May be lines from breather... fuel line goes to fuel rail via pressure regulator, I think
However, if you need to learn how fuel line quick connects work:

The cylindrical piece on the left of the photo should be the spring lock. As mentioned there's a tool set used to release these connectors.

The regulator is permanently installed in the line set, you don't disconnect that or the rubber/plastic hoses.

Thanks again, I was able to cut a piece of thick plastic and wrap it around the base. Then simply pushed and I was able to disconnect the regulator.

Yes, that works. Some people use tin foil, like from beer/coke/V8, my favorit, can.

I have a set of those plastic tools the video shows. Not expensive, and they work perfectly.
