Can anyone tell me how to get after the child restraint tether anchors in order to replace the cheap plastic covers that seem to be broken on most X350s over a month old? I've gotten the seatback pulled forward, but access to the 3 anchor points appears to be further back, like from the trunk? Any help would be appreciated!

 

The anchor points will be bolted though the metal under the rear parcel shelf

and acess will be from under the shelf in the trunk as you say but will

replacements be any better and last longer?

On mine I just use blue tack to hold the covers in place.

 

Many thanks, Meirion. Of the 3, only one remains, and it's very scored up and adhered with something goopy because hinges broke. Perhaps something could be mocked up to fit quasi-permanently, I don't know. Jagbits says they have them, but I can't justify $100+ for 3 chunks of weak plastic.

 

What colour do you need?

 

Ivory, but Sand could do.

I am missing one of my covers too, I am very fussy about all my cars especially the Jag but I think it is a small price to pay in order to be able to pick up my grandson at day care.
