Exclamation Glass replacement - Drivers side front?

Whilst driving through Alabama during road construction the car in the next lane threw a good sized rock at my drivers side front window. Since its laminated it's still in one piece, but the cracks have migrated to the ends of the window after several hours driving. I have a replacement from eBay on its way for $80 inc shipping, as opposed to around $800 from Safelight. Has anyone change one of these before?

I have replaced a lock in the rear door.

You will need to remove door card and then moisture barrier (solid plastic sheet} inside to give you access to the glass.

It is not difficult but takes time and try not to break plastic clips.

I suggest you check operation of window prior to replacing door components.

Lucky it was not the windscreem or bodywork IMO.

Thanks, I am assuming the door card is secured with screws around the areas where you pull as with other makes? I don't know how Jag secures the glass, but when I get in there I'll take some pics to post.
