having a problem w my alarm need help.....
my alarm has quit working. It stopped for a few day then magically started working again and now has stopped working again. I had the battery replaced to no avail.... Any info in the right direction would be great... thank you chaps.....
Nothing happens. Where should I start my troubleshooting? I already tried replacing the battery on the key fob.... Thank you for your time sir
I'm sorry . Ok so when I hit the lock button it's supposed to flash the lights and lock the doors and fold the mirrors and vice versa. When I press the button absolutely nothing occurs. Again I'm sorry . Thank you for your time chap....
OK, first thoughts.
There are four buttons on the remote, do the others all work, (unlock, boot unlock, illumination on) ?
Try locking with key in the door and then unlock with remote, if this works it might indicate a new remote is needed . Do you have another remote, and if so, is this the same ?

So I tried all the buttons on the key fob and they are all unresponsive . Doesn't look like the light on the dash is coming on either. I did notice that it stopped working for a few days and then mysteriously started working for a day or two and then stopped again. Driving me nuts. I finally worked out the suspension demons and now this .... Thanks chap

OK another. Does your second key remote work, or have you only one ?
Either the remote has packed up or lost its settings, or the receiver in the car has. It has to be one or the other. Delay in putting a new battery in can cause the remote to lose its settings. I believe there is a means of resetting it somewhere. Only a dealer can really check out your remote.

I don't have a second remote only the green valet key and when the guy went to replace the battery he tested my old one and said it was fully charged. Gave him a reading of 3.6 on the meter so it's fully charged
